Loan-Back Program
Millennium Bank’s Loan-Back Program allows you to borrow up to 95% of the total value of your deposit in one of our Premium Certificates of Deposit (see Financial Services section). We will work with you to select the Premium CD that suits your needs. Other banks cap the percentage you can borrow back at 80% to 90%. The Loan-Back Program allows you not only to gain interest on the money you deposit but also allows you to put that money to work in any way that suits you. For example, if you invest a minimum of $100,000 USD in one of our Premium CDs today, you qualify to borrow up to $95,000 USD through the Loan-Back Program.
A major benefit of the Loan-Back Program is that the interest you earn on your Premium Certificate of Deposit is tax-free in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines does not tax income derived from interest. Moreover, you will be able to deduct the loss due to annual interest charges on your loan from your income.
